im going to ask on plaync but i thought id ask here first.

someone recently bought me the goty upgrade from the online store as a gift.

after i found out you could NOT upgrade them, which wiki says you can, i have no use for these items.

i understand wiki ISNT anet or plaync. but neither specify whether or not you can upgrade them. which is deceptive. because all blue items can be upgraded if im not mistaken.

well what is basically boils down to. since these items are, IN MY OPINION, useless. how can i go about getting a refund.

or is it even possible to get a refund?

nowhere in the online store does it say all sales final. so im asking.

It actually does say they are final.

And it was a gift.. I don't see how you would need a refund..

I agree that it's odd that the GOTY items can't be upgraded, but your chances of getting a refund, especially for a reason like this, are probably slim to none. "Caveat emptor" and all that.

Earlier Gaile Gray believed that the GOTY weapons were supposed to be upgradeable. Last time I saw, she was going to check with ANET if it was supposed to be like that. Hold your fingers crossed, and hope anet just made a bug this time.

Too be honest, 5 dollars isn't much, and you still get the items..

But gl getting your money back. (although I doubt you'll get refund)

she plays guild wars on and off and she came over on christmas with alot of other people. ruining my carpets and creating a mess >.>

i think i had 20+ people over for christmas.

Well, when i got the GOTY edition for the items i added mods to a few of them, i couldnt replace any mods, but i added +5AL to the bow and modded a few others, can you not do that at all now?

Gave them their account info so they could log in most likely. Or let them buy it for them after logging in themself. Or borrowed the CC info, etc.

5 dollars for unlimited items to use on all your characters and heroes, sounds like a good deal to me .... So you can't upgrade them ... Use them until you find something better.

I'm still waiting for them to upgrade the Proph pre-order items.

If you want a refund, email ANet or PlayNC. Asking people on forums doesn't help you get your 5 dollars back.
